On August 8th, 2024，Ambassador Shen Jian, Deputy Permanent Representative of China to the UNOG, attended the inauguration ceremony for the Geneva Chapter of Swiss-Chinese Enterprises Association. More than 60 people participated.

In his remarks, Ambassador Shen Jian introduced the important outcomes of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He said that Geneva is an important center for global governance and multilateral diplomacy. In June this year, Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a video address at the opening ceremony of UNCTAD's 60th anniversary celebrations, which sets the direction for China to implement its multilateral diplomacy in Geneva. It is hoped that the Swiss and Chinese companies will make best use of the association, explore their business potentials in the respective country and facilitate the global development cause.
