On March 10, 2026, H.E. Mr. Jia Guide, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, met with Ms. Beate Andrees, newly appointed Assistant-Director-General (ADG) for the Regions of International Labour Organization (ILO).

Ambassador Jia noted that, as a founding Member State of ILO, China has established a long-standing and friendly cooperative relationship with ILO. China is willing to work together with ILO and other constituents to promote high quality and full employment, improve social security system and enhance the global labour governance.

ADG Ms. Beate Andrees expressed thanks to Chinese government for its continued active support for ILO, expecting to further strengthen the friendly cooperation between the two sides, and promote decent work, economic and social development.
