On March 17, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Jia Guide, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, met with H.E. Ambassador Zsófia Havasi, Permanent Representative of Hungary to the United Nations Office in Geneva.
Ambassador Jia Guide stated that China and Hungary enjoy a trational friendship. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, the two sides established an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for the new era and set a stellar example of a new type of international relations. The world today is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century, and the international relations has become more volatile and turbulent. China appreciates Hungary's positive assessment of the Global Governance Initiative and is willing to work with Hungary to strengthen communication and cooperation at Geneva and other multilateral platforms, and jointly safeguard multilateralism.
Ambassador Zsófia Havasi spoke highly of the multilateral and bilateral cooperation between Hungary and China, emphasizing that regardless of changes in the international landscape, Hungary has always highly valued its friendship, mutual trust and cooperation with China..
