On May 13, 2026, Ambassador Jia Guide, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other international organizations in Switzerland, met with H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Ali Bazi, Permanent Representative of Comoros.

Ambassador Jia Guide stated that China and Comoros enjoy friendly bilateral relations and have engaged in extensive cooperation across a wide range of fields, yielding fruitful results. China stands ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Comoros in Geneva, jointly defend the interests of developing countries and improve global governance.

Ambassador Ahmed Ali Bazi stated that Comoros and China have maintained a long-standing friendship. China was the first country to recognize the independence of Comoros, and has provided substantial help to promote economic development and people's livelihood in Comoros. Comoros is willing to strengthen coordination with China and continue to support each other in international affairs.
