On June 30, 2026, H.E. Mr. Jia Guide, Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, met with H.E. Mr. Idris Latreche, Permanent Representative of Algeria.

Ambassador Jia Guide pointed out that China and Algeria have consistently trusted and supported each other in advancing national development and promoting world peace and development, forging a profound friendship, and setting a model for state-to-state relations. China is ready to further strengthen coordination and cooperation with Algeria on the Geneva multilateral platform, deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership, jointly practice true multilateralism and building a more just and equitable global governance system.

Ambassador Latreche stressed that Algeria highly values its relations with China and appreciates China's firm support for multilateralism.
