On July 16, 2026, Ambassador Jia Guide, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, and Ambassador Kumar Ayer, Permanent Representative of the UK, co-hosted an ambassadorial-level luncheon on health. The event was attended by Permanent Representatives or Deputy Permanent Representatives from Brazil, France, South Africa, Indonesia, Australia, Norway, Pakistan.

The participants exchanged views on key health issues, including the ongoing negotiations on the annex to the Pandemic Agreement and reforms of the global health governance architecture.
