On June 29, 2026, H.E. Mr. Jia Guide, Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, met with H.E. Mr. Thomas GÜRBER, Permanent Representative of Switzerland.

The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on issues including the role of Switzerland as the host state for numerous international organizations, the reform and improvement of global governance, and expressed their willingness to strengthen communication and coordination on multilateral platforms in Geneva, so as to jointly promote the China-Switzerland innovative strategic partnership to a new level.
