On July 21, 2026, H.E. Mr. Jia Guide, Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, met with H.E. Mr. Ram Prasad SUBEDI, Permanent Representative of Nepal.
Ambassador Jia noted that China and Nepal enjoy a time-honored friendship spanning years and the relationship has grown stronger over time. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of two countries, China and Nepal have established a strategic cooperative partnership featuring ever-lasting friendship for development and prosperity, charting the course for bilateral relations. China stands ready to work with Nepal to carry forward traditional friendship, enhance political mutual trust, and advance mutually beneficial cooperation for more fruitful outcome at Geneva multilateral platform.
Ambassador Subedi emphasized that China has always been a trustworthy and reliable neighbor and partner. He expressed appreciation for China's consistent commitment to seeing Nepal as an equal partner and for its steadfast support to Nepal's development. Nepal remains firmly committed to upholding its friendship with China, consolidating traditional ties, deepening mutual trust, and enhancing coordination and cooperation with China on multilateral affairs in Geneva.
