On September 2, 2026, the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and Other International Organizations in Switzerland participated in the sixth Asian Culture Festival, jointly organized by the Asian Ambassadors’ Wives Association in Geneva (AAWAG) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Chinese Permanent Representative Ambassador Jia Guide, Deputy Permanent Representative Ambassador Li Chijiang, permanent representatives from nearly 30 Asian countries, and heads of relevant international organizations attended the event. Multiple countries and international organizations participated, and all proceeds raised were used for charitable causes.

The Chinese Mission actively participated in the event. During the cultural performance, Chinese diplomats took to the stage to the lively and upbeat music of the Referee Cha-Cha. Their graceful and energetic performance showcased the vibrant, confident and poised spirit of Chinese diplomats and the distinctive character of contemporary Chinese, instantly energizing the audience and earning enthusiastic applause.

At the food stall, a selection of traditional Chinese delicacies, including Baozi, Sichuan-style spicy chicken and bingfen jelly, delighted guests with their appealing flavors and presentation and proved popular with visitors from different countries.

At the charity sale, a wide array of distinctive Chinese ethnic handicrafts and cultural products—including Zhuang brocade, tie-dyed handbags and ethnic-style scarves—drew crowds of visitors. Diplomats from the Chinese Mission, dressed in traditional ethnic attire, enthusiastically introduced the products, as well as the folk customs and cultural traditions behind them, attracting many guests to stop by and make purchases. Throughout the event, the promotional video Beautiful China was screened, offering breathtaking glimpses of the harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature and the vibrant diversity of China’s ethnic cultures, where different traditions complement and enrich one another.

This marks the sixth consecutive year that the Chinese Mission has participated in the Asian Culture Festival. The organizers expressed their appreciation for China’s active participation and strong support for the event.
